Upon walking in, the salon is clean and attractive. The receptionist is a little quirky but is also informative and to the point. Alexis was my esthetician, and she was great. Really fast, efficient, and friendly. Alexis had my brows cleaned up and shaped in no time. 4 stars for the phone call I made just before the appointment, as I could not locate the salon at first, and whoever answered was sort of surprised someone would call.

Today was my first time visiting Amazing lash studio. I do want to preface this by saying none of the misinformation or hopefully unintentional misleading / lack of important information takes away from how wonderful Caroline did and clean relaxing and impressing the studio and experience was . However, I would like to address the fee discrepancy and why I felt blindsided by it. When searching for “lash extensions near me” amazing lash was one of the businesses that came up. Even though I Live in Spartanburg and there are salons much closer to me I was drawn in by the First time customers promotion . It said LIVE MASCARA FREE Get Your First Full Set of Lash Extensions For $79.99 Word for word this is what it said which I will include pictures as well. So Ofcourse I was excited to take that offer since I had never had them before and wasn’t sure if I would like them or not. I continued to book online . It said : Choose a service: Full Set Choose an add-on: -None Selected-- Service provider: Any employee Caroline *Master Stylist* Emily *Master Stylist* Nina Alexis Candice So since it’s my first time naturally, I chose the first master stylist listed; Caroline . Nowhere online when booking does it say “$20 up charge for master stylists” . That is definitely something that should be shown beside Caroline and Emily’s names when it asks you to choose your stylist . Especially since one option is “any employee “ that leads you to believe all employees would cost the same no matter who you received if you chose “any employee” Monday a girl calls me and says hey ! I see you have your appointment tomorrow per our cancellation policy I just wanted to see if it was okay to charge the card on file your $50 deposit? I said yes absolutely! She said great! That was the end of the conversation. Today I showed up for my appointment and Caroline walked me back and said “have you ever had lash extensions before?” And I replied “no, never .” So right then would have let her know I’m probably getting the introductory offer. But anyways, she proceeds to say okay well do you have any pictures of the style you like? I said ugh I forgot to take pictures she said that’s fine I have some examples I can show you and also showed me the little card that shows “classic, hybrid, volume, mega volume .” I said well I know I don’t want volume or mega volume and I don’t think I want the natural (classics I guess is y’all’s technical term but I referred to it as natural) and she said okay so the hybrid is like a mix of classic and volume and showed me some pictures so I said yeah those look good. She never said at anytime “ but just so you know hybrid are an additional $50 on top of your introductory deal” never ever . Or I Ofcourse would have chose classic or just gone to a salon right near my house in Spartanburg. When I get to the front desk she tells me it’s a $20 upcharge for Caroline as my stylist and I said it did not say that online anywhere when booking she said “did whoever you booked with on the phone not tell you?” I said I booked online and it does not show a price increase for certain stylists anywhere she apologized and said they definitely need to fix that. Ten minutes later when I’m in my car on the way home she texts me to say she didn’t know I got volume lashes (I got hybrid not volume if that makes any difference) and she will be charging me an additional $50 ! I text back and then just decided it was faster to call and explained once more Caroline did not tell me there was any price increase for different lashes nor did the introductory offer says “$79.99 for your first full set of classic lashes” it just says full set . Although honestly wish I had got the classic in hindsight the ends of the hybrid seem too long on me but it was my first time so now I know. Anyways I don’t feel I should be paying an additional SEVENTY dollars when nowhere were these things advertised to me online as I booked my appointment or told to me in person as we chose my lashes. And as I stated in the beginning none of this diminishes that talent of Caroline (who I of course did still tip even though I was kind of bothered at the surprise fees) and the wonderful ambience of amazing lash which to me would definitely have been worth the monthly fill in membership (which as Caroline went over that with me at the end of my session DID say and if you choose a master stylist for your membership it is an extra $20 a month) and worth the drive to Greenville bi weekly but the whole ordeal at the end when being rang up kind of soured the experience and also made me feel like I was roped in with an introduction offer only to maybe know that amazing lash would still make a good bit of profit more off me for “fine print details” for lack of a better term even though they were never disclosed to me until time to pay. I would advise training the lash technicians on this and maybe updating the website advertisement and booking information.

Got my lashes done here for the first time, due to the First Time Discount that was being offered ($89 for full set). I’d never had my lashes done before, so I wasn’t aware of all of the lingo. I wanted them done for a special occasion, and this isn’t something that’s normally in my budget. When the lash tech was discussing the types of lashes I could get, I told her what I wanted thinking it was going to determine the exact style. Come to find out when I checked out, all of the things I had said I wanted were up-charges and I was never made aware. So I was expecting the pay the reminder of my service after the deposit, which would’ve been $50, I was told the service (plus tip) would be $129 (even with a $50 deposit, so I paid more than I would’ve without the deal!) This was so far out of left field I was speechless for a second. The service was good, but I NEVER would’ve agreed to these things if I knew it was an upcharge. Please make sure the lash techs communicate this, especially to first timers. I had a good experience but that pretty much ruined it for me.

I decided to get lash extensions for my wedding, I didn’t want to deal with glue on strip lashes just to have one of the corners come up at some point in my reception. I had gotten lash extensions previously from another lash bar and I felt they were just too much for my face even though I got their lightest lash option so I was a little worried going into this appointment but i was pretty happy with how many options I had for shape, length and fullness. Rabun did an amazing job on my lashes, she took the time to go over lengths and styles. My lashes look fabulous, they really look like they could be my own, but way way better. I’ll definitely be back!
